El Futuro is a one-of-a-kind place where Spanish-speaking immigrants can access culturally-responsive mental health services. Founded in 2001 as a volunteer effort, El Futuro meets the otherwise unmet needs for bilingual mental health services for the growing Latino immigrant community in North Carolina.
Despite drastic reductions in public funding for community-based mental health care, El Futuro has grown to become one of North Carolina’s most trusted resources for trauma-informed, culturally-responsive mental health services. They provide direct services in Orange, Durham and Chatham counties.
